I built this a year ago, and did a lot of testing. Nothing special was found it the input vs output. I have another idea adding two rotors inbewteen the upper and lower C core with a timing gear to link both rotor.
The rotor run on the input coils and creates a generator effect from both rotors.

I think that Naudin's "conditioned resistor" is working similar to nowadays Varistors.

... a "conditionned" RLoad (100 Kohms, non inductive carbon, 5Watts) or a MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) is REQUIRED for getting the output datas measured above....

VDRs and MOVs entered the market in the late 1960s, around 1968.
The main reason JLN preferred a conditionned resistor is that, at high frequencies, a VDR or MOV does not behave like a pure resistor but rather like a capacitor.
JLN was an engineer; he was very familiar with this nuance.
